For my final project I am drawing inspiration from one of my favorite photographers: Sofie Sund. I am currently staying in Virginia, and I constantly admire how Spring looks here. There are flowers and trees everywhere with vibrant colors. I swear I had never seen such green grass until I came here. I want to capture Spring in Virginia with the same minimalistic, dream-like style Sofie uses in her photographs. Like Sophie, I want my photo series to include some portraits, but I want them to be more about how man interacts with nature rather than about man himself. Therefore, I will also draw inspiration from Daoism.
From Seth-- Well-articulated concept. I'm very excited to see you begin to shoot and post images. Does she digitally manipulate her work with photoshop? From a brief glance, it looks like she does apply some changes. Will you consider this as well?
