Since I kind of have a mini collection of Kpop (Korean pop) albums, I was thinking about creating a collage, by hand–for the most part–and showing the kinds of things I collected. I think it'll be fun and since I've been playing around with photoshop recently I think I might even add a few distortions or something. I also wanna kind of play around with placement and the different shades of colors, I feel like this'll be interesting.
At the same time, I was thinking I should have something be the main focal point of my project but I'm nor exactly sure yet. Like I want the albums to be coming from something, and I think–now as I'm writing this–I just might use a picture of my best friend since she was the one that introduced me to the life of Kpop.
Color might be the main thing of this project though because I like color and I think that if I was to inverse the colors, or like switch the colors of some albums then that'll be pretty interesting to say. I just want my project to SCREAM color. But this is pretty much all I'm thinking of right now, I'm always changing things but as of now there are definitely going to be albums in the drawing.

From Maya - I think this sounds so cool! I can't wait to see how you work it together with photoshop and the colors. As I've been using photoshop I've really been enjoying the "Kyle's" brushes. The splatter paint brushes and the "wet blender" brush are some of my favorites so far - you should definitely play around with those!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. Photoshop is really going to help you a lot. I mainly enjoyed the idea of wanting you project to SCREAM color. :)
ReplyDeleteFrom Seth-- Exciting idea, Taylor! I think you should begin right away.
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting idea, I have some albums as well and the concepts the artist take on are really interesting. If I dare give a suggestion, it would be nice to see the collage looking like an album cover as well. This is just a thought but I look forward to the way it will turn out.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Im excited to see how the album art and everything is set apart from music here and color is ALWAYS a good idea :) - Carli
