The first one is my sketch of the portrait I will be doing. The second one looks like a hot mess but it will make the finished painting look even better. I took inspiration from cliffside towns in Italy that I found online to draw this one. I masked off some parts already and started painting a general wash on the buildings.
From Seth-- good start. Really try to push compositional dynamics with the portrait. Link the negative space with the positive space. Keep it up.
