So for my 5th page, I thought using the idea of being shattered or feeling like a shell of your former self. For the glass pattern I chose to use red because it's my favorite and least favorite color. As weird as it might sound, as a kid I loved the red ice pop, the red power ranger, and fruit punch was favorite drink. As I grow up I saw the color red through a new lends. So even though I could have used blue or something else, it felt more meaningful to me, to use red.
For the shell of a person I used black to show depression and other dark feelings.
The thought bubble I'm not sure what to with it but I want portray that I was aware I had a problem, and I was tired of feeling this way.
From Seth-- Another very powerful page in-progress! I love the backstory about color. Do you think there's anyway to hint at a bit more with text or imagery or would that be overkill?
ReplyDeleteFrom Morgan Clouser- I really love how meaningful your art is to you! You always make every decision have reasoning and meaning behind it, and art like that is very powerful. Not sure what you had in mind, but I think you should use some color in the thought bubble or at least make the words bold!
ReplyDeleteI like the pattern on this piece it really catches the eye and a great way to get your meaning across. Whatever you chose to do with color or the letters on the final version I am looking forward to seeing it.
