This is what I have so far for my first piece, I used a reference picture of me playing to draw this. Going to use colored pencil to color me then add paint or something for the background. Going to do just different colors radiating from me to show happiness of playing.
From Seth-- good start with a very good rendering. My main suggestion is to use picture plane dynamics to activate the negative space more, especially above the floor. Try and create an interaction with the negative space other than just the figure on top of the ground.
