The woman is suppose to portray the ideal standard of beauty in 1950s magazine models and actresses . I wanted to place her out of her decade through attire. And not the damsel in distress or item on a magazine.
From Seth-- I like the idea of challenging standards of beauty and examining social pressures and expectations. What will you do with the rest of the composition? I would highly recommend connecting the negative and positive space. Will this be a series of drawings? How will you use color?
