Carli's Final Project Proposal

Good Day Everyone! For my final project, I would like to create mixed media collages. I really enjoy working with Photoshop and the ability to manipulate things after they have become fixed objects, but I do not have a printer at home. So what I've been thinking instead is that I will use magazine images as well as hand-drawn and painted images to create an odd school version of Photoshop. 

I think I will reference color as temperature and mood, but not make that my main focus. I would like to have some portraits as well as landscape as apart of my series. I chose these subjects because I would like to put a larger emphasis on the harmony we must live in with nature. I am highlighting this because we often overlook the immense power that nature has over humans whether its natural disasters, pandemics or even how unmoving nature can be, providing a casual serenity, whilst humans drive themselves crazy on the daily.  

I am inspired by landscape paintings that are menacing in their size and usually feature small aspects of human life and sometimes animals. As far as the portraits, I still would like to show the human figure even in the times where we feel like we are at the will of our environment or circumstance. I figure I will tun into issues with scale but I look forward to solving these problems and to your comments/feedback.
