For my final project I am not exactly sure what I would like to do yet, but it will definitely be something that relates to my other drawings with realism. I was thinking of making an image using magazines so they can make up a person, or I might include images of magazines to go along with a drawing of someone/something. I prefer drawing rather than doing technology-based things, so I would most likely stick to hand drawing.
I would still like to use Photoshop though because I wanted to practice some more since I have not used it as much, and it could be used as a backup as well just in case the magazine idea does not turn out so well. I am also limited in supplies using photoshop will be of great use in that aspect. I think I might do another drawing of my favorite musical artist using the concept photos from one of their albums or from magazine covers, and then adding my twist to it. I will be using pencil and pen for most of the project for now.
From Seth-- I love the idea of creating characters from composite images. Could you use a collage as a reference? I think you should stay with handmade drawing if that's where your interest lies. If you want to incorporate Photoshop, maybe you could use it to create your collage, except do it digitally, then print and use the that as a reference for the drawings? Just a thought. Looking forward to seeing this move forward.
