For my final project I wanted to focus on mental illness and identity. My idea for this piece is to make her the focal point. I want her to be very colorful and detailed, to show that she is beautiful the way she is. Around her I want to do small drawings of what others think of her mental illness. Through this piece I want to portray how being diagnosed with mental illness affects people and their identity because of the stigma. Also, I made a few changes to the proposal. I will be using colored pencils instead of paint. At home, I found a set of good pencils and I really like them. I also will only be doing one drawing because it is a large sheet of paper and I am making it very detailed. It is taking a long time to do this one, and I do not think I will have time for another one.
From Seth-- So far, the rendering is very compelling! I'd strongly recommend arranging the major components of your composition first, to ensure its success. You want this to be the strongest composition you've made thus far.
ReplyDeleteAmanda- this is crazy good. I really like how realistic this is.
