I have decided to focus my zines on fantasy and nature during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. My work so far displays mossy tree roots and shows off how microscopic life can be. Through this I want to create towns or have a bugs life or something of the sort where it's another time of normal life in a less than normal circumstance. I am feeling very inspired by a Bug's Life and Avatar. Plus my general willingness to escape to nature for a break sometimes. I have used photoshop with photos from the internet and personal photos. I plan to develop about three more scenes. There won't be a specific story line but the theme follows throughout the zine. Looking forward to responses.
From Seth-- Really promising idea! I'm also really enjoying the beginning. Great compositions to start with-- asymmetry, connecting color palette, primary and secondary focal points. I'm interested to see what you do with the bugs, etc. No major suggestions yet aside from recommending that you integrate varying imagery to feel unified.
